Our GoForPro website hosted an 'image gallery' of photos of applications using our Avery MPI Polymerics – with a prize of an iPad offered for the one our team judged the 'best in show'. Find out who won!

Our recent campaign promoting the additions to our popular Avery MPI Polymerics range encouraged signmakers, digital printers, and application teams to demonstrate their knowledge of these products via a short professional quiz on our special GoForPro website, and were rewarded with a personalised certificate confirming their status as Digital Polymeric Professionals, and a colourful Euro 2012 supporter’s cap.

But that was just the beginning. Successful participants then had the chance to win an iPad. They could upload photos to our ‘GoForPro Experience’ image gallery on the website, picturing applications for MPI Polymerics that they had undertaken. All the photos received were recently evaluated by our judging team – and a winning application was chosen which, in the opinion of the judges, was the best combination of a great choice of materials and outstanding good looks.

The winner of the iPad
The prize went to Ander Salegi of graphics specialists Serinoski in Spain’s Basque Country (www.serinoski.com). Mr Salegi posted a photograph of the Euro 2012 team bus belonging to FC Olimpik Donetsk, one of Ukraine’s leading football clubs. The graphics in the team colours were literally applied across the whole body of the bus – mostly using Avery MPI 2000, overlaminated with its partner Avery DOL 2000.

The chairman of the judges, Avery Dennison Product Manager Frank Marquart, explains why the team selected that particular photograph. ‘The design was really eyecatching, and made tough demands on the professionalism of the application team’, he says. ‘It was also well thought out, with the right media from our product range selected for the different surfaces’.

Ander Salegi adds his own comments: ‘I chose Avery MPI 2000 and DOL 2000 for the job because I have been using them for more than three years now for digital print applications. I’ve tried other brands, but I’ve stuck with the Avery Dennison products because of their superior quality and reliability.’
